Broccoli with Stuffing

2 pkgs. frozen broccoli
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 to 1 onion, depending on size finely chopped
1 Tbsp butter
1 can mushroom soup
1/2 c mayonnaise
1 c grated cheddar
4 Tbsp. butter
1/2 pkg. herbed stuffing mix

Saute the onion in 1 tbsp butter to soften. Then cook broccoli and drain very well. Combine eggs, onion, soup, and mayo. Place layer of broccoli in a 2 quart casserole. Add layer of cheese. Pour small amount of sauce on top. Repeat layers until all are used. Top with stuffing mix. Sprinkle butter on top. Bake for 30 minutes at 350.
